FIRE INVESTIGATION

UPDATE – LONDON, ON (March 29, 2023) – The woman who was transported to hospital with critical injuries on March 24, 2023, as a result of a fire, has died in hospital.

There is no evidence of foul play, and the identity of the deceased is not being released.

 

ORIGINAL – LONDON, ON (March 24, 2023) – London police are investigating a fire that took place in the north end of the city early this morning.

On March 24, 2023, at approximately 1:20 a.m., members of the London Police Service along with the London Fire Department, responded to a report of a fire at a residence in the 500-block of Adelaide Street North. 

The London Fire Department extinguished the fire. An adult female was located. The woman was transported to hospital by paramedic services with critical injuries. 

The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time, the Fire Marshal has been contacted and the investigation is in its early stages. 

The investigation has been reassigned to members of our LPS Street Crime Unit and is ongoing.
