FATAL FIRE 24-44437

FATAL FIRE INVESTIGATION

LONDON, ON (May 16, 2024) – Members of the London Police Service Major Crime Section, along with the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office and Chief Coroner, are investigating a fatal fire that took place on King Street yesterday.

On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at approximately 4:10 p.m., emergency crews responded to the 600-block of King Street in relation to a working fire at a multi-dwelling residence.

Upon arrival, a man was located inside the residence and transported to hospital by paramedic services with life-threatening injuries. The victim died in hospital this morning.

The investigation is in its early stages and more information will be provided as appropriate.
