UPDATE – LONDON, ON (May 16, 2024) – Members of the London Police Service Major Crime Section continue to assist the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office with the investigation into a fatal fire on Nairn Avenue earlier this week.

One individual remains in hospital.

Police remain on scene while the investigation by the Chief Coroner continues.

 

ORIGINAL – LONDON, ON (May 14, 2024) – Members of the London Police Service Major Crime Section are investigating a fatal fire in the north end of the city.

On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at approximately 8:40 a.m., emergency crews responded to the area of Nairn Avenue and Sorrell Road in relation to a working fire at a residence.

Upon arrival, two people were located inside the home. One individual was located deceased, and another transported to hospital by paramedic services with undetermined injuries.

The investigation is in its early stages and the cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Middlesex Crime Stoppers.
