FATAL FIRE 23-9127

FATAL FIRE INVESTIGATION 

LONDON, ON (January 30, 2023) – London police are investigating a fatal fire that took place in the east end of the city last night.

On January 29, 2023, at approximately 8:10 p.m. members of the London Police Service along with the London Fire Department, responded to a report of a fire at a residence on Tremont Road. 

The London Fire Department extinguished the fire.

An adult female was located. Life-saving efforts were provided to the woman by emergency crews on scene, but were unsuccessful, and she succumbed to her injuries. 

The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time, the Fire Marshal has been contacted and the investigation is in its early stages.

Members of our LPS Major Crime Section, along with members of the LPS Street Crime Unit, are assisting the Office of the Chief Coroner with their investigation.
