FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION

LONDON, ON (April 8, 2024) – Members of the LPS Traffic Management Unit are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that took place in the east end of the city over the weekend.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., on Saturday, April 6, 2024, emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and vehicle in the area of Oxford Street East and Wethered Street.  

The driver of the motorcycle was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries, and later died in hospital.

The other involved driver remained on scene.

The roads were closed for a number of hours while officers remained on scene in relation to the investigation.

Investigators are urging anyone who was in the area between 5:20 – 5:35 p.m., that may have dash-cam or security footage that could assist with the investigation, to contact the London Police Service.
