Daytime B&Es in London targeting unoccupied homes
LONDON, ON (February 7, 2025) – Members of the London Police Service Street Crime Unit are investigating multiple break and enters to unoccupied residences that took place yesterday.
On Thursday, February 6, 2025, between the hours of 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., residences throughout the city were targeted by a group of unidentified individuals arriving in a vehicle.
The investigations revealed that in each of the reported incidents, a vehicle pulled up to the home, and a lone male wearing a high-visibility vest approached and knocked on the front door. When the suspect male did not receive a response at the door, the suspect vehicle reversed into the driveway of the home and additional suspects exited the vehicle and forcibly entered the home.
In each of the five (5) reported incidents, jewelry and cash were targeted.
The reported break and enters occurred on the following streets:
- Upper West Avenue
- Asima Drive
- Ballymote Avenue
- Thamesridge Crescent
- Evans Boulevard
The suspect vehicle is described as being a dark-coloured, or black Dodge Durango.
The one suspect male is described as wearing a high-visibility orange vest, orange hat, blue hospital mask covering his face, and work boots. He was observed to be carrying a clipboard.
The investigations were reassigned to members of the LPS Street Crime Unit, and they are appealing to members of the public to assist in identifying the suspects and involved vehicle. Photographs have been attached to the LPS website.
