COPPER THEFT INVESTIGATIONS
London man arrested
LONDON, ON (June 5, 2025) – A London man has been charged after members of the London Police Service Street Crime Unit investigated multiple copper thefts from the downtown core.
Between November 2024 and March 2025, members of the London Police Service responded to a number of reports from London Hydro in relation to the theft of copper from various locations throughout the downtown core.
The investigations were reassigned to the LPS Street Crime Unit.
Investigators reviewed video surveillance and learned the same suspect male was responsible for the thefts.
As a result of the investigation, Brandon Paul Hill, 42, of London has been charged with the following offences:
- Three (3) counts of break, enter and theft;
- Three (3) counts of possession of break in instruments;
- Mischief under $5000;
- Theft under $5000; and,
- Trafficking in property obtained by crime.
The accused is scheduled to appear in London court on July 8, 2025, in relation to the charges.
The investigations remain ongoing.
