COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE INSPECTIONS
44% of vehicles taken out of service

LONDON, ON (September 6, 2023) – The London Police Service Traffic Management Unit, with the assistance of members of the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario and Ministry of Finance, conducted inspections on Commercial Motor Vehicles throughout the City of London on September 1, 2023. 

The results of the inspection campaign are as follows:

In total, 41 Commercial Motor Vehicles were inspected. Of those inspected, 18 of them were taken out of service as a result of a number of offences including major defects on braking, wheel systems, and insecure loads.

  • 49 Provincial Offence Notices were issued;
  • 26 warnings were issued; and
  • Licence plates were seized from four (4) vehicles.This is an image of the Inspection Results
