LONDON, ON (February 20, 2026) – Members of the London Police Service Road Safety Section are investigating a collision between a motor vehicle and a pedestrian last night in the north end of the city.

On Thursday, February 19, 2026, at approximately 5:20 p.m., emergency crews responded to a 9-1-1 call in relation to a pedestrian struck in a parking lot in the area of Adelaide Street North and Sunningdale Road.

Police located a child with serious injuries.

The child was transported to hospital by paramedic services. Once at the hospital, the child’s injuries were considered serious and life-threatening.

The involved vehicle remained at the scene.

Investigators are appealing to members of the public that may have been in the area of Adelaide Street North and Sunningdale Road between 5:10 p.m. and 5:40 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026, that may have information, dash-cam footage, residential or business video surveillance that could assist with the investigation to contact the London Police Service.

The child remains in hospital.

The investigation remains ongoing.
