Male pedestrian in hospital with life-threatening injuries
UPDATE – LONDON, ON (January 12, 2024) – Members of our Traffic Management Unit continue to investigate a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian that took place in the east end of the city early this morning.
The pedestrian remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
All roadways have been re-opened to vehicular traffic.
Investigators are appealing to members of the public for assistance and are asking that if anyone was in the area of Veterans Memorial Parkway and Hamilton Road between 1:45 a.m. – 2 a.m., who may have dash cam footage or information in relation to the collision, to contact the London Police Service at 519-661-5670.
ORIGINAL – LONDON, ON (January 12, 2024) – Members of the London Police Service Traffic Management Unit are investigating a serious motor vehicle collision that took place in the east end of the city early this morning.
At approximately 2 a.m., on Friday, January 12, 2024, emergency crews responded to the area of Veterans Memorial Parkway, just north of Hamilton Road in relation to information that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle in the southbound lanes of the roadway.
The involved pedestrian was located and transported to hospital by paramedic services. The man remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The involved driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
The southbound lanes of Veterans Memorial Parkway remain closed between River and Hamilton roads.
The investigation was reassigned to members of our Traffic Management Unit and is ongoing.
