Position: Case Management Coordinator, Administrative Support Branch, Support Services Division

Status: Temporary, Full Time (Anticipated 12-month contract)

Salary: $53,305 (Starting) to $77,806 (at 30 Months)

Position Summary:

The Case Management Coordinator is responsible for data entry, administrative duties, and the dissemination of information on court files. The team of Case Management Coordinators work collaboratively with the London Police Service (LPS)’s justice partners in the timely exchange of disclosure and related subject matter using a number of varying software programs.

Responsibilities:

•    Process and audit files received from the Charge Preparation Unit including new charge packages and future date files for clerical accuracy.
•    Modify and update records on Record Management System (RMS) to align with provincial and federal court records using various software programs. 
•    Update and verify Criminal, Superior Court, and Federal court dates on docket and purge lists on CPIC.
•    Remove accused entries to reflect dispositions that take place in court.
•    Add/remove/split charges as required by the Crown Attorney's office.
•    Open and e-disclose overnight arrest files, future date files, Peace Bonds, re-laid Informations, and other documents to Crown Attorney's for viewing by court deadlines. 
•    Respond to requests, communicate, and relay information to various service providers within the courthouse such as Crown Attorneys, Justice Officials, Victim Services, and members of the Ontario Court of Justice Office.
•    Consult with other members of the community including Probation Officers, other police services, and the Ministry of Transportation in relation to ongoing disclosure.
•    Create Probation Warrants and Summons.
•    Generate occurrence, court folder and warrant flags on the London Police Service’s RMS to ensure officers are aware of individuals with outstanding warrants/summons. 
•    Other duties as assigned within the core competencies.

Requirements:

•    Secondary School Diploma or equivalent. 
•    6-12 months’ experience in office administration or a related field.
•    Strong problem-solving skills and judgement for decisions that usually involve selecting from one of several optimal or existing set of solutions or protocols.
•    Effective communication skills for regular contact with persons inside and outside the organization to give, obtain and/or exchange routine information or decisions requiring general discussion, and explanation to ensure understanding.

Benefits/Pension: 

Temporary members receive ten percent (10%) of their hourly rate in lieu of benefits (after 120 calendar days) and are also eligible to join the OMERS Pension Plan upon their first day of hire. 

Hours of Duty: 

Day shift; Monday-Friday
