CARJACKING INVESTIGATION
Suspect identified
UPDATE – LONDON, ON (August 11, 2023) – A suspect has been identified in relation to a carjacking investigation yesterday evening in the south-east end of the city.
Through the course of the investigation, police learned that after the suspect male stabbed the victim, he entered the driver seat of the victim’s vehicle. The suspect male drove the motor vehicle towards the victim multiple times, in an effort to strike him with the stolen truck.
Officers were able to positively identify a suspect male, and charges are being laid by way of warrant of arrest.
As a result of the investigation, Lynton Williams, 33, of London, has been charged with the following offences:
- Aggravated assault;
- Armed robbery; and
- Dangerous operation of a conveyance.
He is described as male, Black, tall, with long braids. He is between 30-35 years of age, and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, long shorts, and safety-style shoes/boots.
The accused has not been located, and police are asking members of the public to call 9-1-1 if he is seen.

ORIGINAL – LONDON, ON (August 10, 2023) – Members of the London Police Service are investigating a carjacking that took place earlier this evening that left one man injured.
At approximately 5 p.m., a citizen contacted police to report that an acquaintance stabbed him and stole his vehicle from a parking lot in the 3700-block of Highbury Avenue South.
A victim was located with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, and was transported to hospital by paramedic services.
At approximately 5:15 p.m., the stolen vehicle was located unoccupied in the 1300-block of Wellington Road. A knife was also recovered.
The suspect is described as male, Black, tall, with long braids. He is between 30-35 years of age, and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, long shorts, and safety-style shoes/boots.
Although the incident is not random in nature, police are reminding the public that if this individual is seen, do not approach him and call 9-1-1 immediately.
The investigation is in its early stages and more information will be provided as appropriate.
