BREAK AND ENTER LEADS TO SHOOTING INVESTIGATION
One London man arrested, three suspects outstanding
UPDATE #2 - LONDON, ON (December 18, 2024) – Members of the LPS Street Crime Unit with the assistance of the LPS Guns and Gangs Section, have arrested one of the three outstanding suspects in the shooting investigation which occurred in the 200-block of Simcoe Street in last month.
As a result, Nicholas Traviss, 28, of London, has been charged with the following offences:
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm;
- Careless use of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition;
- Break, enter and commit; and,
- Discharge firearm with intent to wound/endanger life or prevent arrest.
The accused appeared in London court on December 9, 2024, in relation to the charges.
Investigators continue to search for two additional suspects.
The first suspect is described as male, Indigenous, approximately 25-35 years old, larger build, average height, wearing a black or dark navy “Jordan” hooded sweater, black pants and grey running shoes with white laces and white soles. He has black facial hair on his chin and a thin black moustache.
The second suspect is described as male, White, approximately 25-35 years old and walks with a slight lean to his right, wearing grey jeans with red markings on the inside of the pant legs below the knee, a black jacket with red inner lining and black high-top sneakers.
Investigators continue to urge members of the public that may have been in the 200-block of Simcoe Street between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, who may have dash-cam, residential or business video surveillance that could assist with the investigation, or who may be able to identify these outstanding suspects to contact the London Police Service.
The investigation remains ongoing.

UPDATE - LONDON, ON (December 6, 2024) - Members of the LPS Street Crime Unit continue to search for the three outstanding suspects. Investigators have obtained an updated picture of one of the suspects and are sharing the picture in hopes it will assist with identifying him.
Investigators continue to ask members of the public that may have been in the 200-block of Simcoe Street between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. last Tuesday, November 19, 2024, who may have dash-cam, residential or business video surveillance that could assist with the investigation, to contact the London Police Service.
The investigation remains ongoing.
LONDON, ON (November 26, 2024) – Members of the London Police Service Street Crime Unit are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying suspects in a break, enter and shooting investigation which occurred last week.
On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at approximately 5:35 p.m., three men attended a residential building in the 200-block of Simcoe Street. Once inside the building the three men forcibly entered a unit.
The occupants of the unit confronted the suspects when one of the men pointed a firearm at them before firing the gun inside the apartment.
No injuries were reported.
The victims called 9-1-1 and provided a description of the men to police as they fled on foot from the unit.
Officers from the LPS Uniformed Division and Canine Unit responded, however were unable to locate the suspects.
Investigators with the LPS Street Crime Unit reviewed video surveillance and located images of the three suspects.
One suspect is described as male, White, approximately 25-35 years old, medium build, tall, wearing a black hooded sweater, black New Balance jacket, blue jeans with rips and black Nike shoes with white soles and white Nike symbol. He has a light-coloured goatee and was carrying a grey cross- body bag.
The second suspect is described as male, Indigenous, approximately 25-35 years old, larger build, average height, wearing a black or dark navy “Jordan” hooded sweater, black pants and grey running shoes with white laces and white soles. He has black facial hair on his chin and thin black moustache.
The third suspect is described as male, White, approximately 25-35 years old and walks with a slight lean to his right, wearing grey jeans with red markings on the inside of the pant legs below the knee, a black jacket with red inner lining and black high-top sneakers.
Additionally, investigators identified a fourth suspect, Christian Marengere, 39, of London, who was arrested this morning at a residential complex in the area of Wellington Road and Simcoe Street. Christian has been charged with the following offences:
- Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence;
- Discharge firearm with intent to wound/endanger life or prevent arrest; and,
- Break and enter with intent.
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in London court today in relation to the charges.
Photos of the three outstanding suspects have been included in hopes the public can help to identify them, and if seen are reminded not to approach them and call 9-1-1 as they are considered armed and dangerous.
