BREAK AND ENTER INVESTIGATION
London man arrested
LONDON, ON (June 9, 2025) – A London man has been charged after members of the London Police Service responded to a break and enter in the downtown core.
On Saturday, June 7, 2025, at approximately 6 a.m., police were called after a man was observed attempting to break into a business in the area of York Street and Adelaide Street North.
Officers arrived and located a man using a hand tool attempting to gain entry into a building.
When police told the man he was under arrest, he dropped the tool and brandished a piece of pipe before threatening officers.
The suspect continued to resist arrest, and police deployed a conducted energy weapon (CEW).
The man was taken into custody. There were no reported injuries.
As result of the investigation, Aaron Scott Wedge, 34, of London has been charged with the following offences:
- Break, enter and commit;
- Possession of break in instruments;
- Assault a peace officer with a weapon;
- Resist arrest; and,
- Breach of probation.
The accused is scheduled to reappear in London court on June 10, 2025, in relation to the charges.
