BREAK AND ENTER INVESTIGATION
London man arrested
LONDON, ON (June 6, 2025) – A London man has been charged after members of the London Police Service Uniformed Division responded to a break and enter in the south end of the city.
Shortly before 1 a.m., this morning, a citizen called police after observing a man break a window and enter into a business in the area of Main Street and Campbell Street North.
Officers arrived and learned the suspect had fled on foot just prior to there arrival.
Police were provided with a description of the suspect, and with the assistance of the London Police Service Canine Unit located the man a short distance away.
Officers told the man he was under arrest when he attempted to flee on foot from police.
The suspect was arrested a short distance away.
Police recovered a backpack with approximately $ 2200 worth of stolen items from the business.
As a result of the investigation, Jamie Derek Kernohan, 43, of London, has been charged with the following offences:
- Break enter and theft;
- Resist arrest; and,
- Fail to comply with an undertaking.
The accused is scheduled to appear in London court today in relation to the charges.
