ASSAULT INVESTIGATION
London man facing charges

LONDON, ON (April 9, 2026) – A London man was arrested earlier this week in relation to an assault and threat investigation in the west end of the city.

On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at approximately 3 p.m., the suspect was outside a business near Oxford Street West and Wonderland Road North when he was approached by a victim, an employee of the property. The victim asked the accused to leave the property, and the suspect uttered a threat to cause death. The victim entered the business, and the suspect followed and assaulted the victim. The suspect left the business.

The suspect then proceeded to a second nearby business, where he was approached by another employee and asked to leave. The suspect then uttered threats to this employee as well.

Police were contacted and responded to the area. A description was obtained, and the suspect male was located and arrested a short distance away.

The suspect and victims were not known to each other.

As a result of the investigation, Gary Brent Robinson, 55, of London, has been charged with the following offences:

• Uttering threats of death or bodily harm; and
• Assault.

The accused was released from custody and is expected to appear in London court on May 21, 2026, in relation to the charges.
