LONDON, ON (June 27, 2025) – Members of the London Police Service are investigating swarming-type assault that took place last week in the north end of the city.

On Friday, June 20, 2025, at approximately between the hours of 11:30 p.m. – 12 a.m., two teenaged boys were walking in the area of South Wenige Drive and Rollingacres Place when they observed two vehicles following them.

As they approached a nearby park, a male exited one of the vehicles and called the boys over to their location.

The boys ran away from the vehicles but were stopped a short distance away by approximately six teenaged males, who proceeded to assault one of the male victims, pinning him on the ground. One of the suspects was holding what appeared to be a knife at the time of the incident. The suspects approached the other male, who attempted to defend himself while being assaulted by all six suspects.

A short time after the assault, the suspects fled to the vehicles and left the area.

The suspects are described as teenaged males, between the ages of 16 – 17, wearing ski-masks.

The suspect vehicles were described as a dark-coloured Honda CRV and a smaller sedan, unknown colour.

Police are appealing to members of the public in relation to the investigation. If you happened to be in the area at the time of the assault, have cellphone or dashcam footage, or video surveillance that could assist police in identifying the suspects, you are asked to contact the London Police Service.

The investigation is active and on-going.  It has been assigned to the LPS Hate Crime Unit, supported by members of the Patrol Operations Investigative Section.  Police are investigating whether this was a hate-motivated crime carried out by suspects known to the victims.
