London man arrested
LONDON, ON (August 5, 2025) – A London man has been charged after members of the London Police Service responded to a fire outside of the city’s downtown core yesterday.
On Monday, August 4, 2025, at approximately 9 a.m., emergency services responded to a working fire in a residential building in the area of Wharncliffe Road North and Western Road.
Officers assisting the London Fire Department with evacuating occupants out of the building, identified and arrested the suspect responsible for setting the fire.
The London Fire Department extinguished the working fire.
The ongoing investigation has been reassigned to the LPS Street Crime Unit.
As a result, Sean Carter Collins, 49, of London, has been charged with one count of arson with disregard for human life.
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to reappear in London court on August 7, 2025, in relation to the charge.
