ARMED ROBBERY INVESTIGATION
Three youths charged

UPDATE- LONDON, ON (December 29, 2022) – Three youths have been arrested and charged in relation to a robbery, where a pellet gun was used, that took place on December 9, 2022, in the 500-block of Mornington Avenue.

As a result of this investigation, three male youths, all 15-years-old, who cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, have been jointly charged with robbery.

The first 15-year-old male has additionally been charged with the following offences:

  • Pointing a firearm
  • Discharge a firearm in a reckless manner
  • Possession of a weapon

The second 15-year-old male has additionally been charged with the following offences:

  • Fail to comply with undertaking
  • Pointing a firearm
  • Discharge a firearm in a reckless manner
  • Mischief under $5,000

The third 15-year-old male has additionally been charged with one count of fail to comply with undertaking.

All of the accused are expected to appear in London court today in relation to the charges.

 

LONDON, ON (December 12, 2022) – Members of the LPS Street Crime Unit are investigating an armed robbery that took place early Friday morning.

At approximately 3 a.m., on Friday, December 9, 2022, a man was walking away from his vehicle in a parking lot in the 500-block of Mornington Avenue when he was approached by three unknown males.

One of the males demanded the victim’s car keys, while another pulled out a firearm. The victim was physically assaulted and struck with pellets from the firearm. The suspects fled on foot and did not attain the victim’s vehicle.

Police were contacted and entered into an investigation.

The victim sustained minor injuries.

Photos of the suspects have been obtained, and investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying them.

The investigation is ongoing.
