London man arrested
LONDON, ON (January 2, 2026) – A London man was arrested late last week in relation to a serious assault on a female in the south end of the city.
On Thursday, December 25, 2025, at approximately 8:25 p.m., emergency services responded to the area of Sandringham Crescent and Wilkins Street in relation to reports that a female was injured and in need of medical assistance.
A 29-year-old woman was located and transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A suspect male was identified. He was located and arrested at a residence in the south-west end of the city a short time later.
The suspect and victim were known to each other as they were in a previous intimate relationship with each other.
As a result of the investigation, a 33-year-old London man has been charged with one count of aggravated assault. The accused is not being identified, as doing so would identify the victim in this matter.
The accused remains in custody and the victim has been released from the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing and police are appealing to anyone who may have information in relation to this incident to contact the London Police Service, including anyone who may have been in the area Sandringham Crescent and Wilkins Street and may have dash-cam, residential or business video surveillance.
