23-5950 Firearms and Drugs Investigation

DRUGS AND FIREARMS SEIZED

LONDON, ON (January 20, 2023) – On January 19, 2023, members of the London Police Service Uniformed Division and Guns and Gangs Section were involved in an active investigation at a residence on Terrence Street.

As a result of the investigation, the following items were seized:

  • 487 grams of fentanyl
  • 341 Dilaudid pills
  • 34 Temazapam pills
  • Six grams of crystal methamphetamine
  • A loaded Glock 19 semi-automatic handgun with an over-capacity magazine
  • Nine rounds of 9mm ammunition
  • A Herbert-Schmidt Model 11 .38 calibre revolver

The total value of drugs seized is estimated to be $104,020.

As a result of the investigation, Kevin B. Harp, 38, Matthew L. Harp, 37, and Jonathan E. Harp, 37, all of London, have been jointly charged with the following offences:

  • Three (3) counts of possession of a scheduled I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Two (2) counts of careless storage of a firearm
  • Possessing a prohibited device knowing no authority
  • Two (2) counts of possessing a restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a licence or certificate
  • Possessing a loaded regulated firearm

Kevin Harp is also solely charged with the following:

  • Possession of a scheduled I substance
  • Eight (8) counts of possessing a firearm while prohibited

Matthew Harp is also solely charged with the following:

  • Ten (10) counts of possessing a firearm while prohibited

Jonathan Harp is also solely charged with the following:

  • Two (2) counts of possessing a firearm while prohibited
  • Failure to comply with release order

The co-accused are expected to appear in London court later today in relation to the charges.

This investigation has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
