No public safety concern

LONDON, ON (April 30, 2023) – Early this morning, police responded to the area of Baseline Road West and Wharncliffe Road South after a citizen reported hearing the sound of a possible gunshot in the area.

Baseline Road was closed for a period of time, and there was a heavy police presence to ensure public safety while officers investigated the complaint. Upon investigation, it was determined that there was no evidence that a firearm had been discharged.  

Police have since cleared from the area, and there is no risk to public safety.
