FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION
INVESTIGATION ONGOING

UPDATE # 2 – LONDON, ON (November 30, 2023) – Members of the LPS Traffic Management Unit are appealing to members of the public in relation to a fatal motor vehicle collision that took place at approximately 5:30 p.m., on November 12, 2023, in the area of Adelaide Street North and Glenora Drive.

Through the course of the investigation, police determined that a second vehicle, described as being a blue SUV, may have also been involved in the collision and are asking anyone who may have information about this vehicle, or with dash-cam or cellphone footage of the area at the time of the collision, to contact us.

UPDATE # 1 – LONDON, ON (November 13, 2023) – Members of the LPS Traffic Management Unit continue to investigate the motor vehicle collision that occurred yesterday evening, in the north end of the city.

On Sunday November 12, 2023, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a pedestrian was struck on Adelaide Street North near Glenora Drive.  As a result of the collision the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. With permission from the family of the deceased, the pedestrian has been identified as William “Bill” Robinson, 83-year-old male of London.

The vehicle involved remained at scene, however through the course of the investigation, police believe a second vehicle was involved.

Investigators are urging anyone who was in the area of Adelaide Street North and Glenora Drive at approximately 5:30 p.m. that evening, or who may have dash-cam video or security footage that could assist with the investigation, to contact the London Police Service.

Investigators are interested in reviewing video which may have captured the collision itself, and/or the events leading up to, or immediately thereafter.

ORIGINAL – LONDON, ON (November 12, 2023) – Members of the London Police Service are investigating a collision in the North end of the city.

At approximately 5:35 p.m., emergency crews responded to the area of Adelaide Street North and Glenora Drive in relation to a serious motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian being struck.

Adelaide Street is currently closed in both directions between Fanshawe Park Road East and Glenora Drive.

The investigation has been reassigned to members of the Traffic Management Unit and is ongoing.

We are asking drivers to remain out of the area.
