MAN WANTED IN RELATION TO HUMAN TRAFFICKING INVESTIGATION
Seeking the public’s assistance

LONDON, ON (January 7, 2026) – Members of the London Police Service (LPS) Human Trafficking Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a wanted man in relation to a number of human-trafficking related offences.

Between September and October 5, 2024, a man suggested to a female acquaintance of his that she should engage in sex work and began advertising her services online for money. 

The male suspect had shared access to the victim’s online accounts and began communicating with individuals on her behalf. All money was sent to his online banking accounts.

Throughout the month, the victim was forced to perform sexual acts that she was not comfortable with, and police were contacted. Members of the LPS Human Trafficking Unit were assigned the investigation in early December.

The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.

Efforts to locate the accused have proven unsuccessful.

As a result of the investigation, Mathew Joseph McMahon, 39, of London, has not been located, and as such, has been charged by way of warrant of arrest with the following offences:

·         Trafficking in persons comprehensive;

·         Procuring:

·         Material benefit from sexual services; and

·         Financial/ material benefit/ trafficking person over 18.
