LONDON, ON (October 31, 2025) – Members of the London Police Service Major Crime Section have charged Dilgash Hamed, 21, of London following an investigation into an unreported shooting on Boullee Street between August 22–27, 2025.

Evidence obtained from a cellphone seized on September 1, 2025, revealed videos of a suspect firing a gun at a residence. On September 10, 2025, investigators confirmed evidence of gunfire in the 200-block of Boullee Street. No injuries were reported.

In October 2025, additional digital evidence from another seized phone helped identify the suspect.

The accused, currently in custody on another matter, faces the following charges:

  • Discharge a firearm in a reckless manner
  • Occupy motor vehicle with firearm
  • Possess restricted/prohibited firearm without a licence

Violent incidents involving firearms present a serious safety risk to anyone individuals directly involved and threaten feelings of safety and wellbeing throughout the wider community. The London Police Service will continue to employ intelligence-based enforcement and crime prevention strategies to enhance public safety, while prioritizing the investigation of gun violence to ensure those responsible for it are held to account. We urge the public to report any suspicious activity to the police.
