THREATS INVESTIGATION AT CITY HALL
London man facing charges
LONDON, ON (December 18, 2025) – A London man was arrested Monday, after threatening emails were received at London City Hall.
Between June 26 – 27, 2025, a suspect began emailing the City Hall with inquiries.
Between December 9 – 10, 2025, the suspect emailed City Hall, mentioning threats of death in the emails.
London police were contacted and commenced an investigation.
Between December 13 – 14, 2025, additional emails were sent, mentioning threats of death.
The investigation was reassigned to the LPS Cyber Crime Unit with the assistance of the Patrol Operations Investigative Section, and a suspect male was identified and arrested Monday afternoon.
There were no reported injuries.
As a result of the investigation, Wayne Hartman, 47, of London, has been charged with one count of uttering threats of death or bodily harm.
The accused was released from custody and is expected to appear in London court on January 27, 2026, in relation to the charge.
