THREAT AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

UPDATE - LONDON, ON (December 1, 2025) – Members of the London Police Service (LPS) have arrested and charged a 16-year-old male identified as the suspect in the threats investigation from late last week.
The 16-year-old male who cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act has been charged with two (2) counts of uttering threats/death or bodily harm.
Additionally, on Friday, November 28, 2025, at approximately 4 p.m., members of the LPS Patrol Operations Investigative Section with the assistance of the LPS Emergency Response Unit, executed a search warrant at the residence of the youth and no weapons or firearms were located.
Following the ongoing investigation, investigators have confirmed that neither the youth, nor their family has access or possesses any weapons or firearms.
The London Police understand how occurrences like these can cause unrest within both the community and the schools within the city. Officers worked quickly to identify, locate and arrest the individual responsible for the threats. The London Police Service remains committed to the safety and wellbeing of our communities.

LONDON, ON (November 28, 2025) – Police are currently investigating reports of a threat at a school in the north end of the city.
On Friday, November 28, 2025, shortly before 2 p.m., officers responded to a report involving a 16-year-old male who made threats indicating that he would discharge a firearm at Masonville Public School.
The suspect was quickly identified and located by officers and the investigation is ongoing.
We realize this incident has caused fear and concern to parents and community members. We want to reassure the public that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
