STABBING INVESTIGATION
19-year-old arrested
LONDON, ON (February 24, 2026) – A 19-year-old London man is facing charges after a stabbing in the south-east end of the city over the weekend.
On Saturday, February 21, 2026, at approximately 3 a.m., two males inside a residence near Banbury Road and Deveron Crescent became involved in an argument. The males exited the residence, where a physical altercation occurred. During the altercation, one of the males produced a knife and stabbed the other before fleeing the area on foot.
Several officers responded and located a victim with serious injuries.
Paramedic services transported the victim to the hospital.
Police located and arrested the suspect a short distance away, and with the assistance of the London Police Service Canine Unit a knife was located nearby.
The investigation was reassigned to members of the Patrol Operations Investigative Section.
As a result of the investigation, Christopher Burmaster, 19, of London, has been charged with the following offences:
· Aggravated assault; and,
· Breach of probation.
The accused is scheduled to re-appear in London court on March 23, 2026, in relation to the charges.
