MALE SUFFERS INJURY
Special Investigations Unit investigating

LONDON, ON (October 3, 2025) – The Special Investigations Unit is investigating after a man was injured following an arrest in relation to a stabbing in the east end of the city yesterday afternoon.

On Thursday, October 2, 2025, at approximately 3 p.m., a man was at a pharmacy in the 100-block of Clarke Road when he approached an employee at the pharmacy, produced a knife and uttered threats. 

The suspect walked to another area of the store, where he proceeded to stab a man multiple times before leaving the pharmacy. The victim and suspect were unknown to each other.

Police were contacted and responded to the area.

The male victim was transported to hospital by paramedic services with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was located a short distance away and was arrested by officers. A search incident to arrest yielded a knife.

The suspect male was transported to London Police Headquarters Detention Centre.  Once in the detention centre, a Special Constable was assaulted.

The suspect male was injured as a result of the interaction with police. He was transported to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The male has since been released from the hospital.

The Special Constable did not sustain any injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Michael Donald Robinson, 35, of London, has been charged with the following offences:

• Assault with a weapon;
• Uttering threats/death or bodily harm;
• Breach of probation; and
• Assault a peace officer.

The accused remains in custody and is expected to appear in London court on October 22, 2025, in relation to the charges.
