ARRESTED MAN ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL
Special Investigations Unit investigating
LONDON, ON (November 28, 2025) – On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at approximately 3:40 p.m., a patrol officer located a reported stolen vehicle parked in the 500-block of Simcoe Street. Police arrested a man and a woman found asleep inside the vehicle and determined the male was also wanted in relation to an outstanding arrest warrant.
A search incident to arrest yielded suspected heroin.
Both parties were transported to the London Police Headquarters Detention Unit.
On Thursday, November 27, 2025, at approximately 7 a.m., the arrested male was transported to hospital by paramedic services after experiencing symptoms of a potential medical issue.
The man remains in hospital.
As a result of the investigation, Robert Matthew Roth, 42, and Larissa Anne McClinchey, 39, both of London, were jointly charged with possession of property obtained by crime.
Robert Roth was also charged with possession of a Schedule I substance.
The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is mandated to investigate certain circumstances involving police. As a result of the admission to the hospital, the SIU was notified and has invoked their mandate.
