ROBBERY INVESTIGATION
London man arrested
LONDON, ON (November 19, 2025) – A London man has been charged after members of the London Police Service responded to a robbery call last night in the city’s downtown core.
On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at approximately 7 p.m. a man approached a woman unknown to him in the area of Richmond and King streets and attempted to take her cellphone.
The woman resisted and the suspect assaulted her and stole her cellphone before fleeing the area on foot.
Police were called and provided a description of the man.
Several officers responded to the area.
The suspect was located and arrested a short distance away.
The victim’s cellphone was located on the suspect during a search incidental to arrest.
The victim sustained minor physical injuries requiring medical attention by paramedic services at the scene of the robbery.
As a result of the investigation, Tyler M Warcholyk, 38, of London has been charged with one count of robbery/theft from person with violence.
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in London court today in relation to the charge.
