RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLES LEAD TO CHARGES
Three men arrested after search warrant executed

LONDON, ON (March 6, 2026) – Three men are facing charges after police recovered two stolen vehicles in the west end of the city earlier this week.

On February 26, 2026, a white Nissan van was reported stolen to the London Police Service. On March 2, 2026, a Black Dodge Ram with Ontario licence plates BR77686, was reported stolen from outside of the city.

On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, shortly after 4 p.m., police were called about two suspicious vehicles in a west-end neighbourhood. Checks of the vehicles confirmed both the Dodge Ram and Nissan van were stolen. Witnesses reported seeing the drivers enter the attached garage of a home in the area of Applewood Crescent and Eaton Park Drive. Additional officers attended and contained the house.

Investigators determined the Dodge Ram was using a licence plate not registered to it; and had been stolen from a south-end dealership between March 2 and 4, 2026.

Video surveillance footage was obtained.

Members of the Police Operations Investigative Section obtained a search warrant for the residence. With the assistance of the LPS Emergency Response Unit, the warrant was executed shortly before 9 p.m. and three men were located and arrested in the attached garage. Brass knuckles were seized, and officers learned one of the suspects was a prohibited driver.

As a result of the investigation, the following individuals were arrested and are facing charges:

Robert B. Rowbotham, 46, of London:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000;
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000;
  • Possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon or prohibited device; and
  • Breach of probation.

Joshua King, 39, of Chesley:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000; and
  • Operation of a conveyance while prohibited.

A third male, Ali Ismail, 38, of London, was also located during the associated search warrant, and was arrested as a result of a number of outstanding warrants of arrest.

All three of the accused remain in custody.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Middlesex Crime Stoppers
