MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGES 
London man charged

LONDON, ON (February 10, 2026) – A London man has been arrested after colliding with an unmarked police vehicle in the west end of the city overnight.

On Monday, February 9, 2026, at approximately 11:55 p.m., two members of the London Police Service Patrol Operations Investigative Section were operating an unmarked police vehicle in the area of Oxford Street West and Platt’s Lane.

While travelling west through the intersection a vehicle travelling south on Platt’s Lane ran a red light and struck the officers and the police vehicle.

When officers checked on the male driver of the vehicle, they observed several signs of impairment.

The suspect driver was arrested.

The suspect male did not sustain any injuries, and the officers sustained minor injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Srikanth Reddy Vancha, 29 of London has been charged with the following offences:

·       Impaired; and,

·       Impaired exceed blood alcohol concentration.

The accused is scheduled to appear in London court on March 26, 2026, in relation to the charges.
