ICE UNIT INVESTIGATION
Ilderton man facing charges

LONDON, ON (November 28, 2025)An Ilderton man has been charged following an investigation by members of the London Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit, with assistance from the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and the Ontario Provincial Police.

In November 2025, the London Police Service commenced an investigation after CBSA alerted officers to a suspicious package that had arrived at an Ontario airport.

On November 14, 2025, the package was transported to the London Police Service for inspection. Investigators determined the contents met the legal definition of child sexual abuse and exploitation material (CSAEM).

A suspect male was identified and arrested.

On November 26, 2025, a search warrant was executed at a residence in Ilderton, Ontario. Additional items meeting the definition of CSAEM were seized.

As a result of the investigation, Robert John William Hamilton, 43, of Ilderton, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Import/sell/distribute child sexual abuse and exploitation material; and
  • Two (2) counts of possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material.

The accused is scheduled to re-appear in London court on January 6, 2026, in relation to these charges.

The London Police Service is a member of the Provincial Strategy to protect children from sexual abuse and exploitation on the internet. This Strategy is supported by a grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
