HUMAN TRAFFICKING INVESTIGATION
London man charged 

LONDON, ON (December 11, 2025) – A London man is facing several charges following an investigation by the London Police Service (LPS) Human Trafficking Unit.

In July of 2025, a woman met a man online, and they became involved in an intimate relationship. In August of 2025, the man suggested the woman engage in sex work and began advertising her services online for money. 

Through the course of their relationship, the man regularly provided the woman with drugs. The woman was also sexually assaulted by the suspect.

On one occasion, the two became involved in an argument and when the victim attempted to leave, the suspect assaulted her.

The victim contacted police and members of the LPS Human Trafficking Unit were assigned the investigation.

On Wednesday, December 10, 2025, a search warrant was executed at the suspect’s residence.

The suspect was arrested, and the following items were seized as a result of the search:

·         A cellphone;

·         One gram of suspected cocaine.

As a result of the investigation, Malcom Thomas Ferguson, 40, of London has been charged with the following offences:

·         Assault;

·         Sexual assault;

·         Possession of a Schedule I substance;

·         Trafficking in persons by recruiting, etc;

·         Financial/material benefit/Trafficking person over 18; and,

·         Fail to comply with release order (in relation to possession of a controlled substance).

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to re-appear in London court on December 12, 2025, in relation to the charges.
