FORMER TVDSB EMPLOYEE FACING CRIMINAL CHARGE
Theft from mail
LONDON, ON (October 16, 2025) – A former employee of the Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB), has been charged with one count of mail theft following a London Police Service investigation.
Between July 22 and August 9, 2024, a TVDSB employee responsible for sorting incoming mail noticed several Canada Post envelopes with similar handwriting, each addressed to different staff members. The employee reported this to their superior, the accused, who instructed the employee to open one of the envelopes not addressed to them. The letter inside contained anonymous allegations of misconduct by TVDSB authorities, including the accused herself. The accused then directed the employee to shred the opened envelope and hold the remaining letters. When TVDSB staff returned after the summer break, the employee was instructed by the accused to distribute the letters to the intended recipients’ mail slots.
In October 2024, an internal TVDSB investigation revealed that one of the envelopes had been stolen during the summer. In July 2025, the mail theft was reported to the London Police Service.
As a result of the investigation, Linda M. Nicholls, 57, of St. Thomas, has been charged with one count of mail theft.
She is scheduled to appear in London court on November 26, 2025, in relation to the charge.
