FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION
Update
UPDATE – LONDON, ON (October 21, 2025) – The investigation into a fatal motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Hyde Park Road and Fitzwilliam Boulevard involving a motorcycle and a sedan in July, of 2025, has concluded.
Investigators have determined that no charges will be laid, and the excessive speed of the motorcycle was the reason for the collision.
ORIGINAL – LONDON, ON (July 17, 2025) – Members of the London Police Service (LPS) Road Safety Section are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred in the city’s northwest end yesterday evening.
On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at approximately 6:50 p.m., emergency crews responded to a serious collision at the intersection of Hyde Park Road and Fitzwilliam Boulevard involving a motorcycle and a sedan.
The male motorcycle rider was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and has since succumbed to those injuries. The female driver of the sedan sustained minor injuries.
The intersection was temporarily closed as investigators processed the area and collected evidence.
The investigation has now been taken over by the LPS Road Safety Section and remains ongoing.
Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area between 6:45 and 7:00 p.m. and may have witnessed the collision, or who has dashcam, residential, or business surveillance footage, to please contact us.
