BREAK, ENTER AND ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON INVESTIGATION
Two London men charged
LONDON, ON (December 2, 2025) – Two men have been arrested after members of the London Police Service responded to a break and enter call over the weekend in the north end of the city.
On Sunday, November 30, 2025, a man checking on a vacant property in the area of Highbury Avenue North and Kilally Road found two men breaking into the residence.
When the man approached the suspects, one of the men brandished a hammer while the other man brandished a metal pipe and began to chase the property owner.
An officer driving in the area observed the suspects chasing the victim.
The officer arrested one of the suspects while the other man fled the area on foot.
Additional police were called to assist; however, the second man was not located.
A short time later with assistance from the victim, the second man was located and arrested a short distance away.
No injuries were reported.
As a result of the investigation, Gerald Reelis, 41, and Austin Lake, 21, both of London, have been jointly charged with the following offences:
· Assault with a weapon; and,
· Break, enter and theft.
Gerald Reelis, 41, has been additionally charged with one count of breach of probation.
Both accused are scheduled to appear in London court on January 8, 2026, in relation to the charges.
