Traffic and Road Safety

The London Police Service Road Safety Section has a responsibility to ensure the public’s safety while using our streets.

The Road Safety Section currently has 15 Uniformed Constables, 1 Sergeant and 1 Staff Sergeant leading the charge in traffic safety.

These members are experts in the field of Road Safety and qualified collision analysts who examine the causes of our most serious collisions.

In 2024, there were approximately 13,354 traffic collisions in London and 12 people died on our roads as a result.

We also work closely with the London Road Safety Strategy and the City of London to identify traffic safety concerns.

It is our goal to make London's roads safe for everyone.

If you have a traffic concern refer to the contact box on the right side of the page.
