Persons At Risk

In 2005, we created a program that reached out to women who were involved in the sex trade on the street.  We knew their lives were in danger and we wanted to build a relationship that could provide help when needed. 

We advocate for street sex workers and get them in contact with the help they need such as mental health and addiction treatment, housing, trauma counselling and health care.  

Sgt. Luanne Devine provides support to almost 150 women in our community.  She is the officer many of these women go to for help when needed.
