As a result of the ongoing investigation on Chesham Avenue, and following the execution of related search warrants, additional charges have been laid.

UPDATE #9 – LONDON, ON (February 2, 2026 at 12:09 p.m.) 

Members of the London Police Service will remain in the area of Chesham Avenue and Chesham Place for an undetermined amount of time while the investigation continues. However, we will be removing equipment, and partner agencies will no longer be remaining on scene.

We would like to extend our gratitude to our community partners for their support and assistance and thank the public for their patience and cooperation.

The London Police Service, in collaboration with our valued community partners, is continuing the investigation on Chesham Ave today. We extend our sincere gratitude to the community for their ongoing patience and support during this time.

UPDATE #6 – LONDON, ON (January 30, 2026 at 8:24 a.m.) 

The London Police Service would like to thank residents and the community for their patience as we continue an active and extensive investigation on Chesham Ave.

As we head into the weekend, we also want to recognize and thank our partners at the City of London, the London Fire Department, and everyone involved for their ongoing support and coordination.

UPDATE #4 – LONDON, ON (January 28, 2026 at 8:17 a.m.) 

The London Police Service is continuing an active investigation today, which will be extensive and ongoing on Chesham Ave. Members of the public are reminded to avoid the area while emergency crews continue their work.

There will be a visible police presence, and road closures remain in place for public safety. Please avoid the area.

We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as this investigation continues. Updates will be provided as they become available.

Four adults facing charges 

Four individuals have been charged following a trespassing investigation at Western University that led to the seizure of a loaded firearm and the discovery of hazardous chemicals inside a home near the university campus.

UPDATE #2 – LONDON, ON (January 27, 2026 at 12:03 p.m.) 

The London Police Service will be holding a media staging area today at 2:00 pm on Chesham Ave.

Parking: Media are asked to park on Castlegrove Boulevard

Access: Please walk through the park to the opening on Chesham Avenue, where the staging area will be located.

UPDATE #1 – LONDON, ON (January 27, 2026 at 11:32 a.m.) 

The LPS will be implementing road closures in the following locations effective immediately:

- Chesham Ave at Castlegrove Blvd

- Citation Dr at Eastcastle Pl

- Citation Dr at Chesham Ave

- Chesham Place at Chesham Ave 

Please be advised that local residents only will be permitted access beyond these points.
