LONDON, ON (June 24, 2022) – On Thursday, June 23, 2022, at approximately 3:30 p.m. police responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding an assault that had occurred in the north end of the city.
The investigation revealed that the victim was riding his bicycle in the area of Kipps Lane and Adelaide Street North, when he was approached by an unknown male and was assaulted.
A photo of the suspect was obtained.

UPDATE – LONDON, ON (June 24, 2022) – An arrest has been made in relation to a weapons investigation dating back to June 12, 2022.
On Thursday, June 23, 2022, members of the LPS Guns and Gangs Section, with the assistance of members of the Emergency Response Unit and Canine Unit, arrested a man on Brydges Street, and executed a search warrant on Highland Avenue.

UPDATE – LONDON, ON (June 24, 2022) – A man was arrested yesterday in relation to a kidnapping that took place last week.
Peijie Zhao, 22, of Niagara Falls, has been charged with one count of kidnapping.
The accused remains in custody and is expected to appear in London court today in relation to the charge.
Investigators believe that this was a targeted incident, and was not random. The investigation is ongoing.

LONDON, ON (June 24, 2022) – On Thursday, June 23, 2022, at approximately 4:50 p.m., emergency crews responded to a working fire at a residence on Blackfriars Street.
The London Fire Department attended and extinguished the fire.
The fire was deemed to be suspicious in nature and the investigation was assigned to members of the LPS Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the London Fire Department and the Office of the Fire Marshal.

LONDON, ON (June 23, 2022) – A London man was arrested yesterday afternoon in relation to a robbery in the downtown core.
On Wednesday, June 22, 2022, shortly after noon, a man entered a business on York Street and selected a bottle of liquor, concealing it under his clothing. He proceeded to leave the store without making any attempt to pay for the item, and was approached by security.
The suspect produced a knife, and fled the area on a bicycle.
