London man arrested
LONDON, ON (November 3, 2025) – A London man is facing charges after a stabbing in the downtown core over the weekend.
On Sunday, November 2, 2025, at approximately 8:15 a.m., a man was walking in the area of Dundas and Adelaide streets when he was stopped by a man, known to him. A conversation ensued, and the man proceeded to stab the male victim.
Police responded to the area and located the victim. He was transported to hospital by paramedic services with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Video surveillance was obtained, and the suspect was identified.
Police located and arrested the suspect at approximately 8:45 a.m. The investigation was reassigned to members of the Patrol Operations Investigative Section.
As a result of the investigation, Daniel Robert Smith, 45, of London, has been charged with one count of aggravated assault.
The accused is scheduled to appear in London court today in relation to the charge.
