IMPAIRED DRIVER FACING NUMEROUS CHARGES  

LONDON, ON (October 14, 2025) – A London man is facing a number of charges after members of the London Police Service (LPS) Road Safety Section observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed in the south end of the city yesterday evening.

At approximately 8 p.m., on Monday, October 13, 2025, LPS officers were travelling on Exeter Road near Middleton Avenue when they observed a Black Ford F150 travelling westbound. One of the officers activated a mobile radar and found the vehicle to be driving 148 km/hr in a posted 80 km/hr zone.

The officers activated their emergency lights in an attempt to stop the vehicle; however, it proceeded through a red light onto Wharncliffe Road South.

The suspect driver accelerated from police, changed lanes and came to a stop a short distance away.

Officers positioned their vehicles at the front and rear of the to prevent it from moving further. As the suspect exited the vehicle, the truck moved forward and struck one of the LPS vehicles causing minor damage. The male was arrested by police.

As a result of the investigation, David William Blake Murray, 21, of London, has been charged with the following offences:

·         Dangerous operation of a conveyance;

·         Impaired operation of a conveyance;

·         Impaired exceed blood alcohol concentration;

·         Fail to stop for police/pursuit;

·         Race a motor vehicle;

·         Colour coating obscuring interior; and

·         Fail to signal for turn.

The accused is expected to appear in London court on November 13, 2025, in relation to the charges.
