REOPENING ACT CHARGES LAID AT NEW YEAR’S GATHERING
Eight people facing nine combined charges
LONDON, ON (January 4, 2021) – Charges have been laid in relation to an indoor gathering that exceeded provincial limits on New Year’s Eve.
On Friday, January 1, 2021, at approximately 1 a.m., officers investigated an indoor gathering in the 2000-block of Callingham Drive.
Upon police arrival on Callingham Drive, officers observed that there were a number of people both inside and outside of the residence, and none of them appeared to be wearing masks.

In addition to the aforementioned charges, three 20-year-old males (two of London and one of Newmarket), one 20-year-old female, of London, two 18-year-old males, of London, and one 18-year-old female, of London, were all charged with participating in an indoor gathering which exceeded number permitted contrary to the Reopening Ontario Act.
