CANNABIS ACT SEARCH WARRANT EXECUTED
More than $5 million in marihuana plants seized
UPDATE – LONDON, ON (January 12, 2021) – The Cannabis Act search warrant executed at a commercial property located at 1490 North Routledge Park yesterday by members of the London Police Service (LPS) Guns and Drugs Section, along with members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team (PJFCET) resulted in the seizure of 5,332 marihuana plants at various stages of growth, valued at over $5,000,000.
The warrant was executed with the assistance of City of London By-law Officers, Fire Inspectors, Building Inspectors, and the Ministry of the Environment.
As a result of the investigation, Jian Mei Chen, 34, of London, Xiangchun Lin, 57, of Markham, Yingshu Chen, 53, of Scarborough, and Hai Qing, 21, of Toronto, are jointly charged with the following Cannabis Act offence:
All four of the accused are expected to appear in London court on April 09, 2021, in relation to the charges.

ORIGINAL – LONDON, ON (January 11, 2021) – Members of the London Police Service (LPS) Guns and Drugs Section, along with members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team (PJFCET), executed a Cannabis Act search warrant at a commercial property located at 1490 North Routledge Park earlier today.
Four individuals are facing charges.
The investigation is in its early stages, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
The LPS Guns and Drugs Section is comprised of members of the London Police Service and Ontario Provincial Police. This investigation has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
The OPP is continuing to lead an enforcement strategy which includes other Ontario police services, including the London Police Service. This strategy will reflect actionable intelligence on illegal cannabis operations. The focus of the strategy is to dismantle organized crime groups, eliminate the illegal cannabis supply, remove illegal cannabis enterprises such as store fronts and online, and target the proceeds of crime and assets.
