London Police Service launches Anti-Human Trafficking Campaign

LONDON, ON (February 22, 2022) – In recognition of National Human Trafficking Awareness Day on February 22, 2022, the London Police Service (LPS) is launching a campaign, using the hashtag #KnowHumanTrafficking, to help raise awareness and educate the community – and particularly young girls – on the risks and warning signs associated with human trafficking.

STOLEN RACE CAR AND TRAILER Seeking the public’s assistance 

LONDON, ON (February 14, 2022) – Members of the London Police Service Street Crime Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in relation to a reported stolen vehicle and trailer.

A red 1965 Dodge Satellite custom drag-racing car and 24-foot cargo trailer were stolen from a secure storage compound in the south-west end of the city, sometime between October 31 and December 23, 2021.

SERIOUS COLLISION IN SOUTH END OF CITY

LONDON, ON (February 14, 2022) – Members of the London Police Service Traffic Management Unit are investigating a serious motor vehicle collision that took place this morning.

At approximately 12:40 a.m., emergency crews responded to the area of Wellington Road South at Harry White Drive, in relation to a single vehicle collision.

An adult male driver was extricated by London Fire and was transported to hospital by Paramedic Services with life-threatening injuries.

SUSPICIOUS FIRE INVESTIGATION

LONDON, ON (February 3, 2022) – At approximately 5 a.m., yesterday morning, emergency crews responded to a shed on fire in the 1400-block of Huron Street.

The London Fire Department attended to extinguish the fire. There were no reported injuries.

The fire was deemed to be suspicious in nature the investigation has been reassigned to members of the LPS Street Crime Unit in conjunction with the Office of the Fire Marshal.

FATAL COLLISION IN SOUTH END OF CITY Investigation ongoing

UPDATE # 3 – LONDON, ON (January 26, 2021) – The investigation into a fatal motor vehicle collision that took place on January 24, 2022, in the south end of the city continues.
