HIGH-RISK OFFENDER RELEASED Public Safety Warning
LONDON, ON (March 28, 2022) – In the interest of public safety, the London Police Service is issuing the following information and warning in relation to the release of a high-risk offender.
Allan Eugene Ashton, 54, was recently released from custody and will be residing in the London area.

WEAPONS INVESTIGTION
LONDON, ON (March 26, 2022) – On March 26, 2022, at approximately 4:30 a.m., members of the London Police Service attended the area of Oxford St E and Richmond St after receiving a call from a citizen reporting the sound of gunshots. Evidence that a gun had been fired was located in the area.
There are no reported injuries.
This investigation is on-going and no weapons have been recovered.

SERIOUS COLLISION INVOLVING PEDESTRIAN Investigation ongoing
LONDON, ON (March 17, 2022) – Members of the London Police Service are investigating a serious motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.
Last night, at approximately 10:20 p.m., emergency crews responded to the area of Wharncliffe Road and Elmwood Avenue in relation to a serious motor vehicle collision.
A male pedestrian was transported to hospital by paramedic services with life-threatening injuries.

DEATH INVESTIGATION
UPDATE – LONDON, ON (March 12th, 2022) – London Police are continuing to investigate a suspicious death in the area of Phillbrook Drive and Billybrook Crescent. Police can now confirm that this death has been deemed a homicide, and that the victim was known to the accused.
As a result of this investigation, a 52-year-old London man has been charged with second degree murder.
The accused appeared in court today and will remain in custody at this time.

CITY OF LONDON BOATING BAN Water levels hazardous
LONDON, ON (March 7, 2022) – The London Police Service is issuing an immediate boating ban on all portions of the Thames River within the City of London.
The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority notified police today that water levels in the Thames River have reached a hazardous point.
This boating ban will remain in place until river levels have receded to safer levels.
