|How long will it take to process my record check?|
|It takes approximately 4 weeks to process your record check plus delivery time of 3 to 5 days by Canada Post.|

|Record checks can only be delivered to you by Canada Post. We do not offer in person pickup.|
Can I get my police check done any faster?
|We do not have a system in place to process 'rush' requests. We appreciate that everyone would like their check completed as quickly as possible, and we strive to minimize the turnaround time as best we can.|

|How do I get a background check for a custody application?|
|If you need a record check for a custody application, you will need to attend in person. We will help you to submit your request on the correct form based on the situation.|
|How do I get a background check for Adoption?|
We must use a process for adoption record checks that is different from the process used for a vulnerable sector check. More information about adoption is on the RCMP website.
You will need to submit a Police Information Check and be fingerprinted to complete the record check. There is a $25 fee for fingerprints.
|Can anyone get a background check in London?|
|No, you must be living within the City of London at the time you submit your record check. If you do not live in the city, please go to the local police station in the area where you live.|
|Can I get a background check if I am under 18 years old?|
|Yes, you need to attend in person to submit your record check. You will need two pieces of valid government issued identification and proof of your London address. Examples of this include a student report card or student profile.|
|I live in London as a student; can I get my background check done here?|
|Yes, but only during the school year. You will need to provide proof of your London address. A current utility bill or rental agreement is enough. If you need a record check during the summer months, you will need to go the local police station in the area where you are living at that time.|
